Water Boger is a leading manufacturer of innovative high-quality plumbing fitting, Valve and hose products for commercial and residential applications.
Today, that tradition of renovation continues with the introduction of Water Boger new auto shut off connectors.
The flow rate to a typical faucet is limited by national code to 2.2 gallons per minute. Anti-Flood connectors are preset to shut off at a flow rate appropriate to the usage of the connector. For a faucet this is approximately 3.0 gallons per minute. Thus normal operation will not trigger a shut off of the water flow even if there are pressure surges in the system.
Water supply hoses are vulnerable to a number of problems. Over time, hoses can become brittle and burst. Poorly manufactured hoses can break under normal pressure conditions and hoses used in public venues are highly vulnerable to tampering by vandals. All of these conditions can lead to a flood of problems for homeowners, property managers and maintenance personnel.
Anti-Flood automatic shut off connectors protect against costly water damage by automatically shutting off the water supply to a plumbing fixture when it senses that the normal flow rate to the fixture has been exceeded. Water flow through the Anti-Flood device is limited to a factory preset rate. Any flow over the present rate will automatically shut off all water flow through the device.
Anti-Flood connectors include the standard braided stainless steel flexible hose and a patented shutter device located on the inlet side of the hose in one complete assembly. No batteries or electricity are required for operation. There were no multiple parts to connect and there were no moving parts to wear out over time.Anti-Flood connectors are available for faucets, toilets, icemakers, dishwashers, and washing machine applications. To demonstrate the results of catastrophic water damage we have installed a typical flexible connector on this faucet with no Anti-Flood device on it. We will cut the hose to simulate a burst, rupture or act of vandalism.
